The Dawn of CP

This has been a year full of ups and downs- CP is not immune to the way the world is shifting. But we are left with a deep breath and a new dawn.

This year we grieved our incredible contract with Alberta Justice due to provincial budget cuts but we also received another contract to provide Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services Canada wide. We gained a community connection with North of Rockyview Community Links, Calgary Immigrant Women's Association (CIWA) and the Beltline Business Association (BIA). In July I accepted a leadership position with a non for profit in central Calgary with the hope to build my portfolio to enrich the people I walk with in all areas of my life. In September, we opened a new office in Beltline YYC (Calgary downtown) and fostered innovation, critical thinking and growth.

Though the Beltline office will be closed at the end of December due to the shift to virtual, I am filled with so much gratitude for the community support, personal supports and this wonderful team. Our team has grown to eight hardworking, passionate and brave people, six associates and two students, who show up for the people we serve and each other every day. A lot of it is messy and so much is "in progress" but the important part is we treat each other with compassion, love, shared humanity and respect.

There are so many beautiful people and collaborations just coming to fruition and I am so excited for this new chapter and more, to share it with you in the new year.

Lots of love through these uncertain days.
